Microsoft Access is an information management tool that helps you store information for reference, reporting, and analysis. Microsoft Access helps you analyse large amounts of information, and manage related data more efficiently than Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet applications.
Microsoft Access has both advantages and disadvantages that you should research and consider carefully before deciding to use Access to meet your database needs.
However, if you have made the decision to proceed with Microsoft Access, I can provide consultancy services to develop the database for you. Similarly, if you already have a Microsoft Access database, I can provide training to enable you to build the queries, reports and forms that will enable you to extract the information you need from your database.

1 Day Access Foundation Training Course
This course is for those delegates wishing to gain the skills required to effectively use an existing database to extract, manage and analyse data.
Understand the Access screen display and views
Understand the purpose of database objects (tables, forms, queries and reports)
Adding and deleting records
Find, sort and filter using forms
Simple introduction to the concepts of table relationships
Understand and create the following queries:
Simple select queries
Parameter queries and wildcards
Expressions and calculations in queries
Query join types
Summary totals in queries
Exporting data to Excel
2 Day Access Intermediate Training Course
The intermediate course is for delegates wishing to gain practical experience of topics that enable participants to produce effective forms and reports in an existing database. It will also introduce incorporating structured data into database tables for those delegates wishing to build new databases (note that any delegates wishing to build a database from scratch will also need to attend the advanced course). Intermediate users should be confident working with most of the topics covered in the foundation course.

2 Day Access Advanced Training Course
This course is for those wishing to gain practical experience of a range of more advanced features of Access, such as command buttons, events and macros. Delegates will also be introduced to some of the features that make a database more secure and efficient and will be guided through the process of setting up their own new database.
