1 Day Excel Foundation Training Course
This course is for those wishing to gain the confidence to effectively use a spreadsheet program to build, format, save and print a spreadsheet with simple formulas. It is suitable for those who have no previous experience of setting up or using spreadsheets.

Topics include:

Concepts of a spreadsheet
Enter and edit various data types
Introduction to formatting values (numbers, currency, dates, percentages, etc)
Using Cut, Copy and Paste
Relative Cell Addressing (=A2+B7, =G6/H5, -D9*10%)
The AUTOSUM function
The Fill Handle
Linking to different worksheets or workbooks e.g. =North!A5+South!A5
Introduction to common functions (Count, Average, Max, Min, etc)
Working with worksheets (adding, deleting, renaming, copying, pasting, etc)
Sorting and filtering data
Page layout features
Printing and working with large worksheets

2 Day Excel Intermediate Training Course
This course build on the skills learnt in the foundation course. Delegates attending this course must have must be able to create basic mathematical formulas using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages and have an understanding of formatting a worksheet. They will either have attended the Excel Foundation course or can work confidently with the topics covered in that course. 

Topics include:


Review of Excel Foundation
Utilising multiple sheets for grouping e.g. =SUM(Jan:Dec!A5)
Absolute Cell Referencing
Mixed Cell Referencing
Create and use cell names and named ranges
Protecting cells, worksheets and workbooks using locked & hidden properties and passwords
Data lists formatted as tables
Using data validation rules to control user input
Introduction to conditional formatting
Further work with count functions: COUNTA, COUNTBLANK, COUNTIF
Introduction to logical/conditional functions: simple IF statements, SUMIF, IFERROR
Lookup functions: VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP (for Excel 365 and later versions users)
Creating and formatting charts

2 Day Excel Advanced Training Course
The course provides practical experience of a range of features and participants will use Excel to setup or analyse more complex spreadsheets. Delegates will be encouraged to work independently to complete a number of projects using a range of Excel functions and features so it is imperative that they have attended both the Excel Foundation and Intermediate courses or be able to work confidently with the topics covered in those courses.

Review of some features of Excel Intermediate
More logical functions: AND, OR, IFERROR
​Nested Functions: IF with IF, OR, AND, MAX, etc
Lookup Functions: VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, MATCH, INDEX
